D153. I. Irving Davidson, was a public relations counsel with offices
in Washington, DC, and was registered with the Department as an agent of
Nicaraguan and Israeli Governments. He was never an informant to the FBI
but in the past did furnish them with information relating to Israeli and
Latin-American activities, most of which were of interest to other Government
agencies to which this data was disseminated. (CIA) Most documents included
in this batch are the result of an FBI investigation of his office books
under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Donated to JFK Lancer by Ed
Sherry.

D150. Papers of James Hosty, Jr.
James P. Hosty, Jr. served as an FBI special agent in Dallas during the
time leading up to the assassination of President Kennedy. He had
interviewed Marina Oswald twice before November 22, 1963, and maintained
a file on Lee Harvey Oswald. After one of his interviews with Mrs.
Oswald, Lee Oswald delivered a threatening note to Hosty. Hosty destroyed
the note two days after the assassination. Mr. Hosty donated this
file to the National Archives on January 24, 1997. The documents
relate to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the investigation
of Lee Harvey and Marina Oswald, the assassination of President Kennedy,
and Mr. Hosty’s employment with the FBI.56 pages

D143. Brilab Electronic Surveillance on Organized
Crime Boss Carlos Marcello, Previously unavailable taped conversations
of Carlos Marcello, the long-time head of organized crime in New Orleans.
In the late 1970s, the FBI investigated Marcello in an operation code-named “BriLab,” which stood for “Bribery
of Organized Labor.” The FBI conducted electronic surveillance on
Marcello’s home and office for approximately eight months. The Review
Board identified thirteen conversations that are relevant to the assassination
of President John F. Kennedy, and is making them available to the public.
