Authors are invited to promote their books on the Kennedy assassination at NID 2010.
Your potential readers aren't always satisfied ordering a book online. They want background and commentary from a non-fiction writer. They go wherever JFK assassination researchers are gathering to talk about the case. Even though some of you may be well known enough that researchers will go to a bookstore to hear you or purchase your work, not all authors’ books are even in bookstores!
Seminars and Conferences are sensational settings
for selling your books. JFK Lancer works with the largest and most active
group of JFK historical researchers. At the past conferences we have had
many of the most respected of researchers from around the world speak on
the assassination and on President Kennedy's policies. Each conference
includes the annual observance in Dealey Plaza and a comprehensive bus
tour of assassination related sights.
Having books on-hand for purchase—signed by the author— does wonders. Be
prepared with signs, handouts, bookmarks, or business cards. JFK Lancer
arranges for the tables, with designated signing times built into the schedule,
plus lunch and dinner breaks. Your table will be just outside the doors
of the meeting room.
Retail space is open as stated below:
Friday, November 12th, from 8:00am until 6:00pm
Saturday,
November 13th, from 8:00am until 6:00pm
Sunday, November 14th, 8:00 until noon
Costs for tables: $50 per table (6’) and two (2) books donated for our Scholarship winners. This fee does not include tickets to the Award Banquet Dinner, Saturday, November 13, 7:00pm. Banquet tickets are available.
Storage: available, but not guaranteed secure.
Parking costs: The Adolphus offers covered, valet parking for overnight guests at a rate of $24.00 per day, and includes in/out privileges. A special day rate of $14.00 (no in/out privileges) is extended to attendees without room accommodations.
- The public is invited to register for the conference and obtain information on additional speakers, panel topics, and bus tours.
- The public is also encouraged to attend the remembrance service for President Kennedy on Sunday, November 14, and Sunday, November 21, at Dealey Plaza, Dallas, from noon to 12:30 PM. Special music and speakers highlight this moving tribute to President John F. Kennedy.
