Film of Dr. Luis Alvarez's Melon Experiment taken by Don Olson.
Frames of the film provided courtesy of Stewart Galanor.

Dr. Luis Alvarez's Melon Experiment:

Retrorecoil in a melon hit by a high-velocity frangible bullet fired from a rifle off the left side of the frames. The forward jet stream to the right propelled the melon backward to the left. No jet stream is seen in the Zapruder film that even remotely resembles the stream in Alvarez's experiment.

Alvarez' Experiment:
Frame rate of film:
24 frames per second
Bullet: 150 grain soft-nosed
Rifle: 30.06
Distance: rifle 30 meters out of sight on t he left-hand side of the photographs
Velocity of bullet at impact: about 3,000 ft/sec
Retrograde velocity of the melon: 4.5 ft/sec Lone Assassin Theory:
Bullet:
160 grain bullet
Rifle: 6.5 mm Mannlicher-Carcano
Distance: 265 feet
Velocity of bullet at impact: about 1800 ft/sec Using Zapruder's film Josiah Thompson measured the velocity and acceleration of the backward motion of the President's head.
Velocity:
1.6 ft/sec averaged over eight frames.
Acceleration: 100ft/sec/sec

Galanor Read "Cover-Up" by Stewart Galanor
This book presents the evidence that there was a conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy and documents the disturbing measures taken by our government and major news media to cover it up. Virtually all of this evidence was gathered by the Dallas Police and agencies of the United States Government and is published in the Warren Commission's 26 Volumes of Testimony and Exhibits or stored in the National Archives.
